Day 6: Style

Hola! ‘Sup!

Today I was inspired to write and create a pattern design after reading todays page from The Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman.

Learning about Muggsy Bougues and his success as a professional basketball player despite others underestimating his abilities as a player because of his short stature, caused me to reflect on my own abilities as an artist.

I am currently in the beginning phases of my creative journey and a big part of starting (and continuing to create) is trying to figure out my STYLE as an artist.

I currently do not have any professional or college level training as an artist, so there are times I have doubts about my progress. I’ve come to the realization that this struggle I am going through of figuring out the different ways I can be creative is part of my style. Right now I am creating art/illustrations that make me cringe but it is part of the process for me to figure out what works for me. I understand that I will eventually be able to create consistent valuable art/illustrations but first I need to only focus on creating consistently so that I can eventually find my most ideal STYLE.

Peace Out,

Reibert-Anthony
